Hair characteristics

The hair type system of Andre Walker that almost every naturalist knows was unfortunately not made to give each individual person the right information about YOUR hair needs. He created the hair chart to promote his own product line not knowing that many years later people would still refer to his hair chart.

Diffry believes that there is no problem to hold on to his chart as long as you know that it should ONLY be used to find other people with similar hair types.

Ok..but how do I found out what my hair needs are?
By doing several hair observations that will give you a better understanding what your hair characteristics are and therefore make it easier for you to decide what type of hair products you should look for.

The hair characteristics that are most commonly used to determine someone’s hair needs are: texture, density and porosity.
